Purtroppo il Museo rischia di essere smembrato, nonostante ci sia il vincolo del Ministero dei Beni Culturali, chiediamo a tutti gli Alfisti, a tutti i Club Alfa Romeo, ai comitati sorti spontanei in difesa di esso, di manifestare il proprio dissenso affinchè ciò non accada.

Nessun altro costruttore di automobili può vantare una storia così straordinaria come quella dell´Alfa Romeo: unica e affascinante, ricca di uomini eccellenti, di un´epopea sportiva che ha dominato per decine di anni, di auto entrate nell´immaginario collettivo, un´evoluzione tecnica e ingegneristica che ha sempre fatto la differenza, ma rappresenta anche la storia industriale del nostro paese, la nostra storia, quello che noi siamo stati capaci di fare e quindi di essere.

E' illecito ed inverosimile pensare di deturpare una componente cosi importante della Storia Italiana, nonche' forse l'ultima testimonianza ancora tangibile del lavoro di generazioni di Operai e Tecnici che hanno sempre individuato un ineguagliabile motivo di orgoglio nella loro appartenenza alla gloriosa Casa milanese. Lo stesso che noi Alfisti proviamo ogni volta che accendiamo l'Anima delle nostre Vetture. Il Museo dell'Alfa Romeo deve restare ad Arese,laddove restano le fondamenta della propria creazione. RispondiEliminaE' davvero incredibile combattere con la ristrettezza mentale dei nostri politici e della dirigenza del Gruppo Fiat, se ci fossero validi intercolutori basterebbe far notare loro cosa hanno creato altre case automobilistiche (Bmw, Mercedes, Audi, Skoda) che non hanno un passato così glorioso come l'Alfa Romeo. Il Museo non deve essere chiuso ma ristrutturato e riqualificato!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RispondiEliminaAnche se ho solo poco più di vent'anni e ci sono stato solo una volta, è stato emozionante. Come lo è il mio 'vivere Alfista', trovarmi con i ragazzi del Club (StileAlfaRomeo), curare la manutenzione dei mezzi o andare da Trieste e Milano con la mia 75.
RispondiEliminaPosso capire che ci possano essere dietro tanti interessi, che le emozioni qui valgano ben poco. Ok, hanno raso al suolo quasi tutto il resto, però che ci tolgano anche il Museo ad Arese... è un Museo, ciò che per definizione dovrebbe tenere memoria di ciò che non c'è più.
Forse non c'è più spazio per le emozioni, per l'Alfa e per chi è legato ad essi ma credo sia giusto lottare per riavere almeno un po' di questo spazio.

E' vergognoso sapere che il gruppo Fiat vuole smenbrare il museo di Arese. Alfa Romeo ha fatto la storia dell'automobilismo e merita di mantenere il suo museo ed il suo posto. Diminuiscano lo stipendio hai menager se hanno bisogno di soldi, visto che sono i più pagati al mondo.

RispondiEliminaNon riuscirete a mettere in ombra la storia di un marchio che vive nei nostri cuori, il marchio che piu di tutti ha rappresentato l'Italia di inizio '900, non un italia fatta di tornaconti com'e quella di adesso, ma un Italia fatta di passioni e di voglia di riscatto, di gente che ha fatto nascere in noi una passione che non avrà mai fine. Lasciateci almeno il nostro orgoglio.
Direi che è ora di finirla con questa proprietà che non ha dimostrato NULLA in 25 anni.

Chissà perchè questo non viene raccontato, ne ai poveracci di Mirafiori ne a quelli di Auburn Hills. Come soprattutto non viene raccontato che quello che è successo ieri a Mirafiori è solo il primo capitolo della storia: vediamo quante Chrysler o surrogati riuscirà a costruire ma soprattutto a vendere fuori dagli USA.
Una volta abbacinato Obama con questa mossa potrà anche avere accesso ad un altro 5%, ma poi il resto? lo deve pagare cash... e svalutanto via svalutando Fiat Auto per avere multipli bassi per pagare Chrysler, finisce che il castello gli crolla addosso prima di riuscirci, pur rimanendo con l'enorme incognita di una somma enorme da trovare in USA per ripagare il Bailout, ed un'altra da racimolare nel mondo per scalare al 51%.
E poi? e poi il mercato continuerà a dire che in Europa fiat perde percentuali doppie rispetto al mercato, ed un USA Chrysler non cresce ai ritmi del mercato.
Tempo 5 anni ed il re sarà nudo e senza neanche la pelle. Perchè gli altri sono sempre 5 anni avanti e non si fermano, neanche nei momenti di crisi, a progettare, indutrializzare e commercializzare nuovi modelli.
Il Museo Storico è l'ultimo Baluardo. Alfa da quando è sotto i "falsi e cortesi" ha bruciato soldi e Amministratori Delegati come neanche sotto il parastato.
Si brucerà anche questo, scoprirà le sue carte e sarà costretto a definire le cose.
O cessione o chiusura.
Per quanto mi riguarda, ho le mie storiche, ho le mie moderne Alfiat, e sono spessisimo a contatto con altri marchi. E sono TUTTI superiori alle Alfiat come ingegnerizzazione.

Non è possibile ancora con 'ste storie! Giù le mani dal museo Alfa Romeo di Arese. E' andato già perduto lo stabilimento del Portello, è andato già perduto parte dello stabilimento di Arese, lasciatece vivere almeno il Centro Direzionale e magari la palazzina degli Uffici di viale Luraghi!

Non chiudetelo, non fatelo sprire! Se proprio lo dovete considerare come un "peso" economico, fate magare un biglietto di ingresso ai visitatori! Così anche può diventare un minimo redditizio (parola mooolto importante per qualcuno).
Se non si può avere l'Alfa del passato, almeno lasciateci la memoria!!!

Negli anni '60 si trasferì ad Arese dove auto, tutt'oggi leggendarie, vennero prodotte fino alla sventurata cessione al gruppo Fiat nell'86.

Alfa Romeo è un vanto italiano nonchè sinonimo di Milano e di Arese.
Il Museo Alfa Romeo di Arese deve rimanere lì dov'è come bene culturale che ricordi a tutti noi, ed alle generazioni future, da dove veniamo, chi siamo e cosa siamo stati capaci di realizzare. A noi Alfisti di oggi poco importano le t-shirt o il merchandising messso su per sfruttare un brand, a noi tutti importa la storia e la fierezza di guidare un'Alfa Romeo. Spero con tutto il cuore che chi deciderà del futuro di questo pezzo di storia d'Italia ne tenga in considerazione l'origine e cosa significa per noi. Non traditeci una seconda volta!

Scusate se, oltre che da appassionato alfista, mi permetto di parlare anche da architetto che cerca di valorizzare la storia e le potenzialità del territorio in cui vive...
RispondiEliminaMi domando e chiedo perchè tutte le case automobilistiche hanno chiamato a concorrere le più grandi firme dell'architettura per realizzare A CASA PROPRIA (e non il un posto decentrato) un proprio museo (vedi ad esempio Ferrari, Bmw, Porsche, Mercedes) e invece noi dobbiamo assistere a questo scempio!!!!
L'unica cosa che si dovrebbe fare (eventualmente) sarebbe ABBELLIRE il museo e non smembrarlo o trasferirlo. Pensare a qualcosa che possa rendere il giusto premio ad una grande e gloriosa casa automobilistica davanti alla quale Henry Ford in persona "si toglieva il cappello"

Non mi sono mai fidato della FIAT, il DNA è sempre stato basato su un concetto di prodotto lontano anni luce da quello che può essere associato ad un appassionato di auto! Dagli anni 70 in poi gli investimenti sul prodotto si sono sempre più attenuati e quando anche il mercato italiano ha abbandonato il marchio di Torino è iniziata una debacle che non si è più arrestata. Direi che l'apice è stato raggiunto dopo aver messo alla porta l'Ing. Ghidella con la successiva gestione Romiti/Cantarella.

State sicuri che MAI Marchionne lascerà l'Alfa Romeo alla VW perchè gli dimostrerebbero come si potrebbe renderla profittevole in 12 mesi!
Che dire ora del Museo Storico di Arese, quello che Luraghi volle prima di tutti per far vedere al mondo qual fosse stato il passato dell'Alfa e da esso impostare un futuro basato sul medesimo DNA. Potrei dire VERGOGNATEVI TUTTI uomini FIAT, ma anche per queste parole ho esaurito ogni energia! Sono esterrefatto e meravigliato, non si tocca mai il fondo! Che peccato! RispondiEliminaE' bastato vedere quante persone ENTUSIASTE hanno visitato il museo nei due giorni del centenario (GIOVEDI e VENERDI, non nel weekend o in qualche ponte), basta vedere quanto entusiasmo genera negli alfisti visitare il museo.
RispondiEliminaNoi l'abbiamo fatto a maggio assieme ad alfa virtual club, esattamente un mese prima del centenario, il risultato è stato 123 macchine e circa 200 persone.
Ci vuol poco per capire che valorizzandolo nel modo giusto il museo è ampiamente in grado di autofinanziarsi ci vuole solo un pizzico di volontà.

1) non spiegate il MOTIVO per cui il museo deve essere "smembrato"
2) non spiegate DOVE andrebbe ipoteticamente a finire tutto il materiale
così mi passa quasi la voglia di sottoscrivere
Voltare faccia alla storia è come negare la nostra stessa storia! Chiudere un museo che è "venerato" anche dai tedeschi è irresponsabile e soprattutto STUPIDO.

E' davvero incredibile che solo perchè la Fiat deve fare cassa, mette a rischio una così stupenda struttura per poi "rinchiudere" le vetture a Torino così come è stato fatto per Lancia in un capannone chiuso.

Da circa un anno non posso più entrare all'interno del Museo purtroppo e posso perfettamente immaginare come ogni Alfista si sentirebbe sapendo che non c'è più nessun museo da visitare... nessuna Arese dove poter fare i raduni... Entrare in quel "luogo magico" era come fermare il tempo, ci si appoggiava alle strutture e sembrava di essere catapultato negli anni d'oro dell'Alfa, eri nel posto dove ogni alfista avrebbe voluto "abitare", i suoi odori, i suoi profumi, sono ancora ben presenti nella mia memoria, sono per me indimenticabili.

Io consiglio alla Moratti di pensarci bene a quanti soldi perde Milano e il suo interland. Già Milano è ridotta a livello provinciale in quanto ad avvenimenti ...ci manca di perdere anche il museo con i suoi seppur pochi 8.000 ( ottomila visitatori all'anno ) che Milano capitale non ho ancora capito di cosa ... diventa succursule!!
RispondiEliminaLa Moratti è stata in vista al Museo di Arese a febbraio dell'anno scorso, ha fatto un giro sulle Alfa D'epoca del 1940 durante il Centenario di Confindustria..il potenziale economico e culturale del Museo non lo hanno ancora capito nè a Milano nè in Fiat...solo quel provinciale del Sindaco di Arese( detta in modo pungente apposta...mi scuso con il Sindaco ) ha capito cosa ha in mano e si batte contro i mulini a vento ...i capoccioni con cariche più alte sono troppo impegnati a spenderli i soldi anzichè trovare il modo di farli entrare nelle casse....!

The Museo Storico is cultural hertigage. This must be safed at all costs. It’s importend to save all the history together, the cars, the building, all the documents etc. The Museo Storico is for us a place to be to keep the Alfaspirit alive! For me as a editor of a big Alfa Romeo Magazine, Het Klaverblaadje, in the Netherlands the Museo is the most importend historical Alfa Romeo place all over the world. Don’t destroy it!

lasciate stare il Museo! non azzardatevi a toccare quel poco che rimane di una Casa automobilistica tra le migliori al mondo e così saccheggiata e smembrata dalla politica prima, e dal padrone di turno poi. fiat deve avere RISPETTO almeno per quel poco che resta. spero nel vincolo del Ministero.
RispondiEliminaE' veramente una pena assistere alla fine della distruzione dell'Alfa Romeo che forse poteva essere evitata se fosse stata veramente acquistata dalla Ford come sarebbe dovuto essere. Spero veramente che gli Unni di Torino non riescano anche a smembrare ed a vendere i gioielli nel museo, ci sono storie bizzarre sulla Montreal che era al posto di quella arancione conservata oggi al museo.

Sono un ALFISTA dalla nascita, come me lo è mio padre, lo era mio nonno, vorrei lo fosse anche mio figlio... ma se non possiamo continuare a vedere le Alfa del passato dove troveremo ispirazione per il futuro? Il museo di Arese raccoglie il DNA Alfa. Qualche brillante manager FIAT anzichè girare il mondo e dichiarare sempre massimo impegno per l'Alfa dovrebbe fare un giro ad Arese.... Non abbiamo più un Nostro Stabilimento, non abbiamo più i Nostri motori, non abbiamo più il nostro Centro Stile, non toglieteci anche il Museo!!!!

The legend of Alfa Romeo was born in Milano, and the heritage must remain in Milano - the spiritual home of Alfa Romeo. Many thousands of Alfisti from all over the world made the 'pellegrinaggio' to Arese on 24 June 2010 to celebrate the centennary. No other marque could generate that enthusiasm and passion. The Archivio Storico must be unique, and the good work of Signora Elvira Ruocco and now Sig Marco Fazio must continue.

And where in Arese is their home? = Their home is where they are now, in a fabulous building of historical importance, as important as the cars that it contains.
Rather than destroy this lovely building (that was very futuristic and full of technology when it was constructed) it should be made into a shrine. No building for car storage is ever as appropriate as one that was designed and built as a car museum!
This building is all that is left of Alfa Romeo in Milan. It is a symbol of the past, a great and historical past. The building must be saved and restored and be made more obvious than it is now as it is so important to the nation. It is viewable from the Autostrada and people must be made aware that they are driving past history.
I like to think that this sort of destruction would never be possible in another country and it should not be possible in Europe. It would not be possible in England.....it should not be possible in Italy.
Fiat Group has no interest in history. This is its failing. Audi and BMW promote their heritage with their collection of cars and it sells them lots of new cars. Fiat have no idea with Alfa Romeo (and Lancia too). They have a collection which is an asset that every car manufacturer in the world would do anything to possess and yet Fiat ignores it. It is crazy. They allowed the Maserati collection to disappear from them (but luckily it stayed in Italy, thank you Mr Panini) when they bought the company from de Tomaso, and it is sad to see they are so ignoring of their past. Their past history can shape their future and it is so sad that no one at Fiat Group realises this. It is obvious to the world but not to them!
The building and its contents must remain together. There are a small group of incredible people who work for Alfa Romeo at Arese and their jobs must remain too. Without them and their cars and their office, Alfa Romeo fans the world over have no centre and home that they can attribute their much loved marque to.
In this disposable world that we now live in we must try to keep as much history as we can. This is crucial for future generations. It is selfish for Fiat Group to destroy now what generations in the future can enjoy. The world will continue after the current Fiat management have passed on and they must make decisions now for their children and their children’s children, not for themselves now and next month’s salary.
So many Alfisti centered on Arese and Milan for the recent Alfa Romeo 100 Year Celebrations. This must have made Fiat Group realise that the past and history of Alfa Romeo is important. Please give the Alfa Romeo enthusiasts of the world somewhere to go for the Alfa Romeo 125, 150, and 200 Year celebrations.

Having visited this fantastic museum twice now (once for the centenary celebrations) I believe it would be an absolute travesty, if the building were to be destroyed. Finding another location to house the museum contents with the same heritage would be impossible and no doubt the collection would be split into pieces, never to be seen in it’s entirety again.

Dopo aver visitato questo fantastico museo ben due volte (una volta per le celebrazioni del centenario) credo che sarebbe una parodia di assoluto, se l'edificio doveva essere distrutti. Sarebbe impossibile trovare un altro percorso per ospitare il contenuto del Museo con la stessa eredità, e senza dubbio la raccolta sarebbe stata suddivisa in pezzi, mai più visto nella sua interezza. Milano ha lasciato poco del suo patrimonio di Alfa Romeo e Alfa Romeo è parte della storia di Milano, si prega di non distruggere.
Il "Museo" avrebbe più senso se viene mantenuto dove si è pensata, progettata, sviluppata nonchè realizzata una importantissima parte della storia automobilistica mondiale: L'Alfa Romeo di Milano è anche storia del territorio, dell'ingegno delle persone, delle maestranze, dell'industria e non andiamo oltre.....è il marchio più noto al mondo è associato a Milano.

RispondiEliminaAt a time when German manufacturers are increasing the exposure of their history to the public by way of new museums and exhibitions it is absolutely pathetic that the management of Alfa Romeo should abdicate their responsibilities in the same way as has Lancia.
It is vital that not only is the collection kept together but displayed in a much improved arena and available for the public to see at any time.
Shame on Fiat - They have done nothing for the wonderful heritage that Alfa has bequeathed to Italy in years gone by. This unique collection which follows the contribution that Alfa Romeo has made to the world of Motor Racing and road machinery must be protected and preserved. A long awaited visit to the museo in July for the Centenary (An event which was treated with what amounted to contempt by the hierarchy at Head Office these days) was not a disappointment, the enormous efforts made by the staff there to welcome the thousands of enthusiasts who made the journey from all points of the compass were greatly appreciated by all concerned.

I can't believe how little the owners of Alfa Romeo undervalue the history of the marche and the museum. I live 10 mins away from Arese and find it incredible that the museum is not open at weekends or in the evening (at least early eve) - you also have to put your name down to get in! The museum should be valued much much more and expanded. There are many interesting things that could be done especially as there is a lot of waste ground on and around the site including the derelict test track next door. It could be made into an attraction for the whole family to enjoy.

RispondiEliminaI made a special trip to Arese in October to visit in Centenary Year, as I could not attend in June...It was well worth it , particularly as the museum was free , whereas BMW Welt in Munich was 12E a few days later ! Of the two, I thought Arese was a missed opportunity by Fiat to really make the AR brand more welcoming, particularly as my DVD of the Mille Miglia had to be bought in Germany ! There were several items celebrating the Centenary which were on display , but not for sale it seemed to enthusiasts....one of whom on the day of my visit (11/Oct/10) had come from Singapore ! A moment to whet the appetite of potential new car customers was lost here, which BMW are adept at ....AR management should pay a visit to BMW to see how they do it.
Please keep your museum in Arese as a testament to Italian design flair. I thought it was a better one than Ferrari at Maranello, and I never found one for Maserati .

Und nun: Wenn das Kulturministerium in Rom dem Druck der FIAT-Gruppe nachgibt, wird Marchionne und seinen Leuten ermöglicht, das "Familiensilber" des Museums zu verscherbeln. Zu was diese Leute fähig sind, zeigten sie bereits beim Lancia-Museum in Turin. Zu hoffen bleibt, dass die politischen Interventionen der FIAT-Gruppe keinen Erfolg haben - in einem Land, in dem sich Berlusconi so lange halten kann, ist aber offensichtlich alles möglich!

RispondiEliminaIn un mondo dove tutto sta cambiando, una ditta rispettosa come l'Alfa Romeo non puo' rinunciare al suo passato. Un passato che aiutava a creare il mondo automobilistico, ed una marca che faceva tutti togliersi il cappello.
Arrivano certi momenti in cui anche aspetti economici e pragmatici devono esser smessi, in favore di un morale: Un morale non solo Italiano, ma mondiale. la bandiera dell'alfa non vola piu' sopra lo 'sportello'. nel chiudere del museo ad Arese, verra' annullata l'unica evidenza restante del punto in cui l'anima dell'alfa inizio' ad esistere.
noi Alfisti in Israele, in Italia e nel mondo, uniti vi chiediamo di non toglierci l'ultimo monumento storico di una marca che ha sempre riuscito ad unire tutti gli appassionati suoi con amore, orgoglio ed un indiscutibile senso di appartenenza.

Il museo di Arese è la radice dell'alfa romeo, eliminando anche l'ultimo baluardo non resterà che un semplice ricordo di quella piccola azienda milanese che vinceva le corse. Chiaramente ci si rende conto che possa costare mantenere una struttura del genere, ma eliminandola non si farà altro che far dimenticare alle nuove generazioni cosa è stata l'alfa romeo, quindi è un gesto controproducente per l'azienda stessa. Se volete che i ragazzi oggi sappiano da dove provengono i nomi Giulietta, GT, Giulia che state abilmente rispolverando, allora dovreste pubbicizzare il museo e non chiuderlo per sempre, perchè se sparisce il museo allora lentamente sparirà anche l'alfa romeo.

RispondiEliminaThe Alfa Romeo Collection and Archive is more important than the Building in which it is housed. Alfa Romeo, this once great marque, may have degenerated into a poorly directed Fiat brand but the heritage must be preserved in its entirety.
Yes, the current building was new in the 1970's but it is now tired and the historic Arese site is eerily empty; a sad reminder of Fiat's neglect.The Collection is not in a place easily found and the significance of Arese is lost on all but those dedicated Alfisti who have done so much to sustain the marque's image and presence.
It is time to move on and re-house the Collection in Milan, to link the badge to the history of the city, to open it to the passing public; in short to create a new imaginative facility which will truly raise awareness of wthe marque's rich history.
The museum should be maintained and remain in place, it's part of history and of Rome.

The museum in Areze is our church, our holly land - the place where every each one of us want to go to become a compleate Alfa Romeo fan. The museum is somthing that holds us together, aplace where we know that we will meet people with the same passion for the brand. To close the museum for us is betray the true Alfa spirit, to betray the fans. If thay close the museum thay will close a very important page of Alfa's history. And because of that we will close our hearts for them. Alfa Romeo is not just a car brand. It is not just a product, that needs to be sold. It is a passion, a religion, a way of life. For me che closing of the museum will be the biggest misstake of the FIAT Spa company. Thay may win some money, nut thay will lose a lot more - thay will lose us, the fans.

I visited Ferrari, Lamborghini and Alfa Museums this summer, and must say the Alfa Romeo museum was the most impressive one by a huge margin. It has heritage and value that cannot be measured in money. I can't believe someone would think of closing it down. At the moment, history is the only reason why I would buy a new Alfa instead of another marque - if that is taken away or hidden in a basement, I have lost the only reason to choose the overpriced fiat with the Alfa badge on it.

This is not about cars, this is about Italian cultural heritage. I am a life-long Alfa owner and consider the Museum the repository for all that has contributed to the success and wonder of this marvellous marque. For many Alfa owners in Australia, to go to Italy and visit the Museum is a dream come true, a pilgrimage to Mecca. To split up the Museum and its treasures is to betray those in Australia who have traded unique Alfa models back to the Museum to improve the collection. Please don't allow this to happen - Italy needs it as much as we do!

The brand Alfa Romeo and its history are also very important part of the italian history. The Museo Historico, the building must be said in one breath, and are also part of this history.So italian governement, and FIAT, don't forget who you are and where you come from, and most of all, don't forget US, the thousand's of Alfisti all arround the world. I think that the governement and FIAT closed their eyes when we were cellibrating the Centenial of Alfa Romeo in 2010. There were hundered's of people who paid a visit to the Museo Historico, for me a wish came true!!!!

Viele Länder in Europa würden ein solches Museum zu schätzen wissen und es entsprechend hegen und pflegen. Hier hat der Statt Italien eine Verpflichtung eine bedeutende Industriegeschichte zu wahren. Es kann doch nicht sein dass geldgierige Manager jetzt versuchen die besten Exponate aus einer Schutzstellung herauszulösen um ein paar Euro in den angeschlagenen FIAT Konzern zu spühlen. Dort sind diese Euros versickert bevor sie angekommen sind.

Come tutti sanno, si tratta di un marchio che tutto il mondo ci invidia: altre Case automobilistiche farebbero carte false per averlo, visto che tradizione, immagine di marca, valori non si improvvisano. Il Museo di Arese, con portineria, percorso di avvicinamento, piazzali ed edifici ridotti in uno stato pietoso, è rimaso forse l'ultimo custode della impareggiabile memoria storica. E, non ostante lo stralunato stupore che i visitatori - soprattutto quelli stranieri, abituati ai musei di Monaco e Stoccarda - mostrano osservando tanta desolazione, il museo deve rimanere lì, dove è stato creato, insieme al Centro di Documentazione, posto sotto il vincolo del Ministero dei Beni Culturali, senza smembramenti o trasferimenti indebiti che lo snaturerebbero irrimediabilmente. In attesa di tempi migliori e di una sua più degna conduzione, che ci auguriamo arrivino presto.

I'm an Alfisti from Perth Australia, I'm a member of the Alfa Romeo Club of Western Australia and at the present I have five Alfas' in my garage. My wife and I have planned a trip to Italy early summer 2013 and one of "the must do" we wanted to do in Italy is the visit to the ALFA ROMEO museum in Arese. Now we are being told it could possibly close down. What a shame, the Alfa museum together with the other var museums in the area is one of Milan's big turist atraction. We in the Alfa club in Perth are giving you all the support in your fight to keep the museum open so future generations can see and experiance the great cars made by Alfa in the past and also the new ones' of today. Do FIAT not see the loyalty and affection world wide Alfisti genuinely have for the name? WE Alfisti of the world are the only ones who even try to market the brand, to our families, friends, business associates. Yes if this were a German or Japanese company the future of the collection would be very different: IT WOULD BE ONE OF THE CORNERSTONES OF BRAND IMAGE, A BRAND UNIQUE AND INSTANTLY RECOGNISABLE.

There's nothing like the glorious past and victories of Alfa Romeo, the story behind is a fascinating tale of hardship and victories, one of innovation and larger-than-life personalities.

If this magnificent and unique collection of Italian history and culture is broken up or sold to anonymous collectors and scattered around the globe, the public and enthusiasts would not be able to see all these treasures in real life.
As a part of the history of Italian industry Alfa Romeo has faced many difficult times during the last century: two major wars, economic downturns and Italian industrial boom after WW2. In spite of all the hardships, it has always maintained its drive to compete and innovate. This against all-odds survival story is what makes Alfa's brand so appealing. The museum should be a integral part of that brand.
Remind the Nurburgring race in 1935 where Nuvolari won against overwhelming opposition of Mercedes and Auto-Union, let's not give the Germans the last laugh this time either!
As a proud owner of 2 Alfa Romeo's and as an Italian American, I implore you to reconsider your postion of closing the museum. As I have not had the opportunity yet to visit it, I do intend to in my lifetime. It would be a shame for generations of young people who have yet seen this historical museum to miss out on this important piece of Italian history. It is the responsibility of the Italian government to keep your treasures availble to the world for generations! Please do not close the museum!

RispondiEliminaAlfa Romeo is one of the greatest car manufacturers in the world and it belongs to Milan as the Scala, the Duomo di Santa Maria Nascente, Sant'Ambrogio or the Castello Sforzesco. They created milestones in design and technology and controlled the race tracks for decades!
Only a few brands have so much fans all over the world. On the centenary in June 2010 everyone coult see what Alfa Romeo means for Alfisti all over the world and the passion with which they live Alfa Romeo.
The museum is one of the best car museums in the world with one of the completest collections of a car manufacturers history. I think only the Mercedes Museum can compete with the Alfa Romeo Museum.
It would be a crime and a shame for all of Italy to close it and spread the cars all over the world in the hands of a few rich collectors which would hide this historical important cars in their garages.
So keep the Museum in it´s home town and show the whole world what wonderful cars were built in Milan.

Fiat management simply doesn't realise the power of the Alfa brand and continues to disregard it's heritage, essence and appeal to so very many people around the world. To close the museum and disband the collection would be unforgiveable.
RispondiEliminaI was one of the many that made the effort to drive from the UK to Milan last June to partake in the celebrations. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the museum and view it in the same light as Catholics visiting St Peters and The Vatican.
Please reconsider and save the museum exactly as it is. As has been mentioned many times above, the site could be a huge opportunity to promote the marque, much like Mercedes Benz and BMW already demonstrate. Das Museo Storico ist die letzte Erinnerung an die große Geschichte der Firma Alfa Romeo und die Geschichte der Mailänder Automobilindustrie. Portello wurde geschlossen und abgerissen, Arese geschlossen.
RispondiEliminaIn Deutschland erbauen die großen Automobilmarken neue Museen, in Großbritannien hat die Gründung des Heritage Trusts gezeigt, daß man auch nach totaler Mißwirtschaft an die geschichtsträchtige Automobilindustrie eines Landes erinnern und das Markenbewußtsein mit dieser Geschichte am Leben erhalten kann (MG, Austin, Morris, Triumph, Standard, Wolseley etc.).
Jetzt das erste von einem Autohersteller selbst eingerichtete Museum (!) schließen zu wollen, zeugt von einer unfassbaren Ignoranz der Verantwortlichen, die ganz offenbar nur dem Gott Mammon dienen.
Eine solche Sammlung, ein solches Archiv auseinanderzureißen wäre ein Verbrechen an nachfolgenden Generationen!
Es beraubt zudem die Alfisti auf der ganzen Welt der Werksunterstützung, die von Alfa Romeo Arese in den letzten Jahrzehnten noch geleistet werden konnte. An dieser Stelle ein großes Dankeschön an Frau Ruocco, Herrn Fazio und ihr Team in Arese: Sie haben mehr für die Marke Alfa Romeo getan, als es die Funktionäre in Turin je könnten! Ich hoffe sehr und wünsche Ihnen, daß sie Ihre hervorragende Arbeit noch lange werden fortsetzen können - im Museo, im angestammten Gebäude, in Arese!
Daher: LASST DAS MUSEO STORICO BESTEHEN! OPFERT ES NICHT KURZSICHTIGEN PEKUNIÄREN ERWÄGUNGEN!

Ne touchez pas à notre héritage! Ce musée est unique, il présente un large éventail des voitures produites par Alfa Romeo. Des employés passionnés par la marque ont permis de sauvegarder cette collection exceptionnelle. Est-ce qu'au nom du profit unique, un tel monument doit-il disparaître?
RispondiEliminaJe ne comprend plus la direction de Fiat depuis une dizaine d'année. Le nom Alfa Romeo est connu dans le monde entier grâce aux exploits en course et aux design exceptionels des voitures et ce depuis le début de la marque.
L'année dernière, année du centième de la marque, les dirigeants de Fiat n'ont rien fait. Alors que des marques se cherchent une histoire (voir les pubs pour les 90 ans d'Audi), pour Alfa Romeo, pas un seul événement organisé par la marque, ce sont les clubs qui ont organisé les événements du centième, une honte.
Monsieur Marchione, svp, laissez-nous rêver, mettez en chantier le nouveau spider présenté par Pininfarina. Comme Lotus, essayez de faire de voitures légères et amusantes comme Alfa Romeo a su le faire dans le passé. Vivez sur cet héritage.
A tous les Alfistes, mobilisez-vous pour que notre marque survive ainsi que son musée unique.

I have seen many stupid mistakes made in Italy but now it's exeptional.Now when it concerns a brand that has put Italy on the map in the autoworld as a manufacturer off famous sportscars it's a scandal for Fiat to say we have no money to look for a new building while they take over some stupid American brand. If they have no money available to build a new one, then renovate the building. It will be in the neiberghood the expo off 2015. So peaple from all over the world can visit the museum and it will be paying. The visitors will see what Alfa really ment. It's a free publicity for every where around.

The Museo Storico is a example and milestone of young italian culture and industrial design. Alfa Romeo became a part of italian lifestyle outside of Italy. You would reduce the cultural value of your own country if you close the museum.

Hard to believe. Italy, the land of culture, the land of history would allow the closing of this landmark, sell some contents and put the rest into storage especially now that Alfa Romeo has just completed its 100th Birthday. Certainly there must be some way for the Fiat Group to change their minds. Shame!

RispondiEliminaMany people said so far that closing the museum is equal to killing ALFA ROMEO's hisory - and I'm sure they are right because I do feel the same - miserable and a bit angry but really dissapointed.
I do not know what else to say... I hope everything ends fortunately!

The second to none racing history, the exciting, beautiful and innovative cars and the very name Alfa Romeo have brought great automotive prestige to Italy for longer than any other make. How FIAT can contemplate destroying this icon is beyond belief. The intention to demolish Arese and disperse the collection is cultural vandalism. RispondiEliminaPlease do not dismantle the Alfa museum as it is a cultural icon to be enjoyed by the world! I have been an Alfisto for 53 years of my 73 years. I own 10 rare Alfas have been to the museum many times and I always go there when I'm in Milano. Re-organize the museum, charge money to enter. Hold a public lottery to raise money!!

RispondiEliminaThe Museo Storico is the last thing that shows the glory history of Alfa Romeo in "Milano" for all Alfisti in the World! It would be a crime and a shame for all of Italy to close the Museo Storico and spread the cars all over the world in the hands of a few rich collectors which would hide this historical important cars in their garages.
So keep the Museum in it´s home town and show the whole world what wonderful cars were built in Milan.
Please remeber what is happened this the Lancia Museum in the hand´s of FIAT!!!

RispondiEliminaIs this about money? Alfa Romeo is a great part of Italian Heritage. If the Government allows this Historic Collection and Building to be disbanded it is a hugh mistake. I think Alfa fans around the world would be very upset if this were to happen. I also believe it would have a direct impact on their new car sales. My family have owned 6 Alfa's over the years and when sales return to Canada we may have second thoughts about buying another.

I'm saddened to hear the news of the possible closing of the Alfa Museum in Arese. I was in Italy this past June and couldn't complete the pilgrimage to "Mecca". I fear that I never will. As the son of an Italian immigrant who worked for Alfa Canada years ago, Alfa is in my blood! Arese is as important to us as Maranello is to Ferarristi. Remember without Alfa, Signore Ferrari might never have been as successful as he was in the early years. Without Arese how else might we learn of stories such as these.
